Edward Jex Rowland - Class of 1929

MONTPELIER --Edward Jex Rowland 66, died January 22, 1978 at his home while in his sleep. He was born in Spanish Fork, Utah to Frederick Thomas and Hannah Pitcher Rowland. Mr. Rowland worked with his brothers and father in the Montpelier Laundry and Dry Cleaners. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1929. He later attended BYU in 1939, studying Business Administration. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was ordained a Seventy. Jex served as Stake Missionary in 1938. He was a leader for many years in the Boys Scouts of America. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. Survivors – Robert Richard Rowland, Montpelier; five nieces and two nephews.
