Clair Kunz, 65 years of age, died Sunday, 7 July 1996 at the Pocatello Regional Hospital of an extended illness.  He was born 20 Jan 1931 in Bern, Idaho to Reed and Edith Poulsen Kunz.  He married Beverly Jean Hill 19 Jul 1954 in Evanston, Wyoming.  He attended schools in Bern and Montpelier.  He hired out on Union Pacific Railroad as a brakeman and then later became a conductor.  He had 45 years of service with the railroad.  In 1951 he was drafted in the Korean War and advanced to a sergeant.  He was a paratrooper in the 82^nd Airborne Division and made 24 successful jumps.  He was the father of two sons and three daughters and the grandfather of 18 grandchildren.
