Helen Hulme (Budge) - Class of 1932

Helen Hulme Budge, 87, passed way on July 20, 2002, in Logan. She was born Oct. 8, 1914, in Salt Lake City and was raised by her loving parents, G. Ezra and Venice D. Hulme in Bennington, Idaho. She attended school in Paris, Idaho and graduated from high school in Montpelier, Idaho. Soon after she married her high school sweetheart, S. Elliott Budge, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple for all eternity on Nov. 23, 1932 and they had 69+ wonderful years together. Helen also attended college for two years with an emphasis on special education. Her most noteworthy accomplishment in life is being a mother to their five children. She spent 20+ years in the service of the handicapped. She held positions as Young Women’s president and Primary teacher to many children. 

Helen was very talented in many respects. She had an eye for beauty and was very dignified in all things. Helen is very near and dear to all of our hearts and will be missed greatly. She is a true treasure up unto the Lord and all those who had the privilege of being in her presence. 

Helen is survived by her husband, S. Elliott Budge and a son, Gordon E. Budge of Logan, 11 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and four of their five children, Richard H. Budge, David E. Budge, Lawrence H. Budge and Venice B. Wilkerson. 

Funeral services and viewing will be held at the LDS Church located at 125 E. 500 North, Logan. The viewing will be held prior to service at 10:30 a.m. with the funeral at noon. Internment will follow at the Logan City Cemetery.
