Marjorie Lockman (Olsen) - Class of 1935

POCATELLO - L. Marjorie Olsen, 82, Pocatello, died Monday evening, Nov. 29, 1999 at a local medical center.
She was born July 14, 1917 at Montpelier, Idaho to Joseph C. and Mareta Sarbach Lockman. Marjorie attended school in Montpelier, and graduated from Montpelier High School.

She married Harold J. Olsen on July 1, 1938 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1991.

Marjorie was employed by Mountain Bell Phone Co., as a telephone operator for many years, and also as a sales clerk for the Fargo Department Store in Pocatello. She retired in 1982 from Mountain Bell.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in various positions, but she most of all loved teaching Primary.

She is survived by three sons, Jerry L. Olsen, Pocatello, Don H. Olsen, Sandy, Utah and Alan L. Olsen, Winnemucca, Nevada; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandsons; one sister, Louise Berrett, Salt Lake City, Utah. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Janice Price.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 3, 1999 at 11 a.m. in the Pocatello LDS 16th Ward, 550 W. Cedar St., Pocatello. Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery, Montpelier, Idaho, at 2:30 p.m.
