Bernetta Humburg (Hanson) - Class of 1935

MONTPELIER - Enid Bernetta Humburg Hanson, 82, passed away Friday, April 21, 2000, at the Rock Mountain Care Center in Clearfield, Utah, following a short illness.

She was born April 23, 1917, in Dingle, Idaho, to Albert and Janette Quayle Humburg. She was the fifth of seven children. She attended elementary school in Dingle and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1935.

Bernetta married Max J. Hanson on June 7, 1939. They spent most of their married life in Montpelier except for a few years in Pocatello and Mesa, Arizona.

Bernetta was an accomplished cook and created many beautiful pieces of handiwork. She enjoyed golfing, fishing and visiting with her grand and great-grandchildren.

Bernetta is survived by her son, Edward and his wife, Arlene of Fruit Heights, Utah; five grandchildren, Max (Bettie) Hanson, Marji Hanson, Garth (Sharla) Hanson, Glenn Hanson and Clark (Jennifer) Hanson; twelve great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dora Sparks of Dingle, Maythell Sparks of Montpelier, Hazel (Forrest) Closner of Boise; one brother, Don Humburg of Tooele, Utah and one sister-in-law, Ellen Humburg of Dingle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max, her parents and two brothers, Max Albert and Ted William.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, at 1 p.m. in the Matthews Mortuary Chapel,
