Ada was born May 21, 1924, to Jim and Ida Homer in Montpelier, Idaho, and she passed away peacefully on April 1, 2006, at the Bear Lake Skilled Nursing Facility.

Ada attended school in Montpelier, where she graduated from high school. She grew up in Montpelier on a street nicknamed "Incubator Alley,"? so named because like the Homers, there were many large families in that part of town. There were many Homer reunions over the years held at Emigration Canyon, as all loved the outdoors. There were stories about politics, railroading and hunting that were shared or "stretched."? Her brothers were famous for their total compliance with Fish and Game rules.

Ada spent many years driving in from Sharon to work at Tri-state Inc., and later the Ranch Hand. Ada and her sister, Nellie, were best friends, as they worked together and never missed a trip to Jackpot. Ada will be greatly missed by all.

Ada is survived by her three children, Lynn C. Gambling, Mrs. Karlene (Rich) Combs, and John Homer (Rhonda) Gambling. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jenifer (Jason) Ewing, Andrea Kym (Scott) Wells, Jessica Dawn (Shiloh) Jackson, Christopher John (Cedar) Gambling, Amilia Mae Gambling; six and a half great-grandchildren, Cody Ryan Gambling, Hayley Emily Wells, Tyler John Wells, Shilyce Dawn Jackson, Trevin Elway Jackson and Kylie Jade Jackson; one brother, Kenneth Homer of Minidoka, Idaho; a brotherin-law, Norman (Doris) Gambling; and her favorite pet, Archy.
