Doug Bischoff - Class of 1944

Douglas Bischoff, passed away peacefully on his 77th birthday at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on Oct. 28, 1924 in Geneva Idaho, to David and Minnie Bischoff. He married Gloria Trussell on March 28, 1953 in Salt Lake City. He attended schools in Geneva and Montpelier Idaho. He was called to serve in the Army when he was 17 and served during World War II. He was a member of the LDS church. Douglas retired from Hill Air Force Base after 30 years of employment, and also held several part-time jobs. Douglas was a hard worker who loved and supported his family throughout his life. He enjoyed family activities and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his two children; son Rodger (Janis), daughter Cindy (Mark) Nelson; seven grandchildren: Craig, Kurtis, Jeffrey, Kiersten, Becky, Rodney and Nicholas and siblings David and Gladys. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Graveside Services will be held at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 So., on Thursday Nov. 1, 2001 at 12:30 p.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery. His family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nursing staff at the Veterans Hospital for their loving care.
