Daren Tueller - Class of 1945

Daren T. Tueller, 75, passed away Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at Logan Regional Hospital from complications following hip surgery. He was born Oct. 26, 1925, in Geneva, Bear Lake, Idaho, to Barbara Mary Teuscher and Lyman Nephi Tueller. He was an only child. He married Lois Tonks on May 27, 1953, in the Idaho Falls Temple and they have three children.

He spent most of his life on the dairy farm and ranch in Geneva. He attended grades one through eight at the Geneva School and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1945 after a short break to work a farm deferment during World War II. He attended Utah State for three quarters beginning the fall of 1946.

He served two years as an LDS missionary in the Western Canadian Mission from January 1948 to 1950, and later with his wife Lois to Nauvoo, Ill., in 1986.

He served in various church callings including Ward Clerk, Bishop, High Counselor, High Priest's Group Leader and nine years as a temple worker in the Logan Temple.

He spent many years serving on the Farm Bureau Board in Bear Lake, had many friends and loved his family.

He is survived by his wife Lois, Logan, Utah; two sons, Lon (Lucy) Tueller, Geneva, Idaho, Rao (Julie) Tueller, Smithfield, Utah; a daughter, Renee Tueller, Orem, Utah, and six grandchildren, Stephen, Effie, Erin, Jessica, Mandi and Amy.

Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, in the Geneva Ward chapel.
