Robert Liljenquist - Class of 1950

Bowler Extraordinaire Robert D. Liljenquist (Bob) passed away November 19, 2002 at home surrounded by his children after a short illness with cancer. He was born Jan 10, 1932 to Horace and LaPreal Jensen Liljenquist in Hyrum, UT. He grew up in Montpelier, ID and graduated from high school in 1950. After graduation he worked for Mountain Bell until he retired in 1983 after 33 years of service. 

He participated in all sports, but especially loved bowling. He served as President of the Salt Lake City Bowling Assoc. from 1997-1998. He also enjoyed morning coffee with all his buddies. He married Wathene Johnson December 2, 1951. They were later divorced. 

He is survived by four children, Wyn Liljenquist, Kym Liljenquist, Stacie (Boyd) Tucker, Teton, ID, Derk Liljenquist, Salt Lake City; four grandchildren; and sister, LaRae Bartschi. Montpelier, ID. The family would especially like to thank Barry Bank for his friendship, help and support.
