Glen Casperson - Class of 1961

Glen H. Casperson, 59, passed away at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, Utah, on March 7, 2003. He was born on May 1, 1943, in River Heights, Utah, to Eliot and Theo Mae Casperson. After moving from Montpelier, Idaho, he graduated from Bonneville High School, Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 1961.
He served an LDS mission to Argentina. 

On August 11, 1965, he married Rebecca Lynn Ellertson in the Logan Temple. From 1966 to 1968, he
served in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He earned an associate's degree from
Green River Community College, Auburn, Wash., in 1971. Glen worked as a recreation director in Brigham
City, Utah, Loring AFB, Maine, Bitburg AFB, Germany, and at Howard AFB, in the Republic of Panama. He
moved to Logan in 1994 and worked as a realtor. He greatly enjoyed the opportunity that his jobs provided to
travel and live in different countries.

Cooking, gardening, canning, hunting and fishing were some of his favorite hobbies. We will always
remember his love for the restored gospel and his great love for his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Casperson, Providence, Utah; four daughters, Roshelle Hakes (Dan),
Flagstaff, Ariz., Julie Smith (Kirt), Afton, Wyo., Heidi Casperson (Ray Rallison), Providence, and Cheryl
Casperson, Providence; six grandchildren Taylor, Hannah, and Porter Hakes, Courtney, Kade and Blane
Smith; sisters, Elaine Hunsaker (Kent), NaDean Bartschi (Don), Tara Jackson, and Linda Crapo (Steve);
and brothers, Eric Casperson, Eliot Casperson (Gayle). He was proceeded in death by his father, mother
and brothers Lee and Arlin.

Funeral services were held March 11, 2003 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 E. Center St., Logan. Burial was in the Preston Cemetery
