In Memory

Wayne Glauser - Class of 1956

The fishing streams in heaven are getting a work out! The Glauser brothers are together again, fly-fishing the most beautiful waters imaginable. Wayne was born June 14, 1938 - Flag Day - to Emil and Marie Glauser. In his modest way, Wayne said Flag Day commemorated his birthday, too!

He was never afraid of work and in fact thrived on it. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1956, then attended Utah State, graduating in aeronautics in 1960. His charm and head-turning good looks caught the eyes and heart of his future wife, Donna Welker Glauser. They were married in Idaho Falls, Idaho on August 12, 1958.

He was employed by Martin-Marietta in Denver; Hercules Powder in Salt Lake City, and spent the remainder of his career at Lockheed Missiles and Space, also in Salt Lake, until his retirement in 1998. Always dependable, he completed his responsibilities to his family, his church and his job with determination and love.
Wayne and Donna have three children, Steve, Matt (Kathe) and Gina, and two wonderful grandsons, Jake and Nick.

His funeral was July 12, 2013 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan. Interment at Montpelier Cemetery.
