Lois Danks - Class of 1947

Lois Rebecca Danks, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2011. Lois was born March 18, 1929, in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, to William Richard and Zella Cecelia Danks. She grew up and attended school in Montpelier, Idaho. After graduating from high school she worked as a telephone operator for several years before getting married. She had three children. She worked several jobs over the years to help provide for her family while she was in Montpelier.

Later in life she moved to Logan, Utah, and after divorcing settled in Smithfield.

She worked for First Security Bank when she arrived in Logan for about 8 years then worked for the Utah State Courts until retirement at the age of 70.

She loved the years she spent after retirement serving at the Logan LDS Temple.

She was a devoted mother who made many sacrifices for the benefit of her children. She loved her family and friends and will be missed by all of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert (Bobby) Andrew Danks, and William (Billy) Danks Junior; and her sister, Carol Irene Jones; and her eldest son, Randall D. Einzinger.

She was survived by two of her children, Rebecca Sue Briggs and Dwight R. Einzinger, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was held Thursday, July 14th, 2011 at the Montpelier Idaho Cemetery.
