Ivan Ray Kunz; born August 15th, 1926 to Lorenzo and Anna Hirschi Kunz in Montpelier, Idaho.
Ivan is survived by his wife Wynona Booth (Gunn) Kunz, their children Danny Elwin Gunn (DeeAnn Gunn), Ivan Brent Kunz (Erin Kunz), Cynthia Lynn Hunter (Rick Hunter) and Jody Ray Kunz (Nina Kunz) and his younger sister Phyllis and 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Ivan has joined his parents; Lorenzo and Anna, 3 younger brothers, LaGrand Kunz, Dean Kunz and his daughter Cyndia Lee Kunz, in heaven.

Ivan married Alta Lauridsen and had 2 children; Ramon Kunz and Yvonne Kunz Bergum and was later divorced. He then met and fell madly in love with his "Soul Mate" Wynona Gunn and was married to her on July 14th of 1956 and was sealed in the Logan Temple on July 14th 1982.

Ivan was raised on a ranch just south of Montpelier, he attended a one room school house through 8th grade while working alongside his dad as a rancher. He remained on the ranch for 20 years before moving into the town of Montpelier. He then worked for the State Highway Department for the next 27 years as an Equipment Operator. During this time he also owned and operated a dairy farm, was a custodian for JC Penny's, Mountain Bell, Bear Lake School District and Montpelier City Hall. After retiring from the State Highway District he found it was too hard to sit back and enjoy what was and supposed to be the "Golden Years"; he went to work for Bear Lake Motor delivering vehicles for 20 years.

Ivan had a love for horses, farming, hunting and driving. He and Wynona loved their Sunday drives to go deer hunting without any guns that eventually turned into almost an everyday event. They enjoyed driving through the canyons of Bear Lake Counties especially in the fall when the colors changed.

Ivan had a wonderful sense of humor; his kids have numerous stories of being raised by him, whether it was on the dairy farm or attempting to be conservative.

Ivan also had a love for his dog, "Rags" and his cat, "Willy". This is the only time he hated to travel or do his drives because he had to leave his animals at home.

Ivan's kids remember this of him;

Brent- "Sometimes being hard on someone or yourself pays off in the long run."

Cynthia- "If you can't do a job right then don't do it at all."

Jody- "The value of honest work-an honest days work, is an honest dollar earned."

A funeral service was held on January 28, 2014 at the Montpelier LDS 2nd ward chapel.
