Lois Lee Bridges (Hulme) - Class of 1944

Lois Lee Bridges Hulme 87, passed away on Tuesday June 11th, 2013 in St. George, Utah. Lois Lee was born April 9th, 1926 in Montpelier, Idaho the daughter Elgin and Marie Bridges. She has one brother Sherwood. Lois Lee was raised in Montpelier and graduated from Montpelier High School. She attended Utah State Agricultural College (University) in 1945 where she studied music.

Lois Lee married Philip Lynn Hulme of Bloomington, Idaho on October 11, 1946 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They started their lives together teaching grade school in Bloomington. Later they moved to Montpelier where they started their family. Lois Lee and Philip became parents to 4 children: Thomas. Bradley, Sandra, Brent.

Lois Lee spent many years being a music teacher in her home and worked for the grade schools in the Bear Lake Valley. She was the author of 7 books of history for her family and others. She was passionate about music and the arts and shared her love of these with everyone in her life.

She was active in the community helping with music festivals, community theater, D.U.P and the Rail To Trail Museum in Montpelier.

Lois Lee was very active in her LDS church where she served others in many ways including several years as Relief Society president. She used her music talent to serve in her church as organist for meetings and choirs most anytime her talents were needed. She and Philip served an LDS mission for 18 months in the North Carolina, Charlotte Mission.

She is survived by her Husband Philip; Brother Sherwood (Ann); her children Thomas (Carol), Bradley (Jane Reints), Sandra Phokeerdoss (Morris) and Brent (VaLene); 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at on June 15th, 2013 at the Snow Canyon 13th Ward building, 1610 N. Dixie Downs Rd. St. George.

A memorial service was held in Montpelier, Idaho on Monday, June 17, 2013.

Interment was in the Montpelier, Idaho cemetery.
