Max LeRoy Bunn passed away October 14 at the Pocatello Veterans Home, Pocatello Idaho. He was born March 15, 1919, in Paris, Idaho, the second of eight children to Elton and Daisy Bunn. In later years the family moved to Montpelier, Idaho, where Max attended school. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1937. While attending high school Max was a four year letterman in football, basketball and track.

He married Utahna Tippets, June 29, 1938 in the Logan LDS Temple. Living in Montpelier, Max hired out on the Union Pacific Railroad until 1944 when he joined the Army Air Corp, serving in World War II until his discharge in 1946. On returning home he went back to work for the railroad. This marriage was blessed with three sons, and a daughter, Max (Mickey), Terry, Kent and Nancy. In later years Max and Utahna divorced.

Max married Stella R. Kemp, November 17, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and relocated to Pocatello, Idaho, where they resided until 2011. Both Max and Stella retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. They enjoyed farming on the "Green Acres" (a small farm in Georgetown), horse packing into the Wind River Mountains with family members and friends numerous times, traveling the USA, dancing, and cherishing their home and friends in Pocatello. After a 16 month stay in Legacy House of Ogden, his loving companion, Stella, passed away April 11, 2013. Max then moved to the Pocatello Veterans Home to be close to a son, Terry.

Max held the office of High Priest in the Melchizedek Priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and enjoyed his favorite calling of being a home teacher.

Max is survived by sons, Max Henry (Roberta), Terry Ray (Bonnie), Kent LeRoy (Kathy), and daughter, Nancy (Wes) Vastine, four step-sons, John (Margaret) Kemp, Doug Kemp, Ray (Donna Rae) Kemp, Allen (Jean) Kemp, a sister, Elma Marie (Allen) Totten and brother, Harold (Mary Lue), sixteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, a great-great grandson, and many step grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ted, Blair and Jerry, sisters Thalia and Ozma, and wife, Stella.

Our family would like to thank the staff of the Pocatello Veterans Home for their loving and professional care for Max.

A Graveside Service and Military Rites were hels at the Mountain View Cemetery, 51 East, Row 18, Space 7, Pocatello, Idaho.
