He was born Nov. 6, 1933, in Dingle, to James Orin and Lois Hannah Cook LaRocco. He was the second youngest in the family of seven. He had four sisters, Pauline Dayton, Louise Loertscher, Geraldine Bowman, Valerie Childs, and two brothers, Philip LaRocco and Ross LaRocco. After graduating from high school he joined the army, during which time he served six months in Germany. He received many certificates, awards and medals and was granted an honorable discharge. He later met his wife, Loretta Jane Vanderrnuss and they were wed in 1962. They resided in Cokeville where he worked on the Covey-Dayton Ranch for some time. He loved the ranching life which resulted in his love of horses and anything to do with the traditional cowboy. He was also a good football player and he loved sports. Later after working on the ranch he worked at P & M Coal Mine for 20 years. Reg is survived by his wife Loretta; three children, Jimmy and Annette LaRocco, Jodi LaRocco and Billie Jo LaRocco; three grandchildren, LaNae LaRocco, Payton LaRocco and Bradi Purcell. He thought the world of his grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Fern Vanderrnuss and many other loving members of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his half-brother, Ross, who died of lung cancer in 1996. He left many friends behind that he thought a lot of. He was a remarkable man and we all love and miss him very much.
