Vicki Hanson (Woolett) - Class of 1957

Vicki Hanson Woolett, 78, of Lander, Wyoming passed away at her daughter’s home on September 26, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 626 Cascade in Lander. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander. 

Vicki Hanson Woolett was born August 1, 1939 to Clinton Victor Hanson and Edith Dayton in Montpelier, Bear Lake County, Idaho.

She graduated from flight attendant school in the 1950’s. She worked in California before meeting her husband, Richard Ray Woolett. They married on September 3, 1959 and moved to Lander in 1961. Vicki was a dental assistant at Mountain Dental for 15 years. She was an active member of the VFW Post 954 and served as the Ladies Auxiliary President for a number of years. Vicki was passionate about interior decorating. She loved caring for her home and property. She battled cancer for eleven years. During this time, she gave hope and comfort to those who were also in this circumstance. She enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in their achievements. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Woolett; parents, Clinton and Edith Hanson; and three siblings, James Hanson, Marlys Passey and Lynn Hanson. 

Survivors include, one sibling DeAnne Horsley; four children, Mitch Woolett, Schell Woolett, Brooke Sutton and Amber Shearin; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
