Mable Robison (Whitmore) - Class of 1952

Mable Robison Whitmore was born July 2nd 1934 in Georgetown, Idaho, to Roy H. Robison and Melba Vilate Weaver. She lived with her Aunt and Uncle (Andrew and Janie Sorenson) and their family; due to the death of her mother, until age of five, when she returned to live with her father's family in Georgetown.

She attended grade school in Georgetown and high school in both Georgetown and Montpelier. She met Bob Whitmore in 1959, while living in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were married in Georgetown, in the home where they both resided since 1993 and later sealed in the Logan Temple.

Mable and Bob lived in many places throughout the United States and Germany, where he worked installing radar sites as an electronics engineer. While in Germany, they adopted their two children, Donna and Eddie. Upon returning to the states, they lived in Massachusetts, where Mable enrolled in Merrimack College and pursued a teaching degree. They moved to Pueblo, Colorado, where she continued going to school at Southern Colorado State Collage. From there they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, were she finished her teaching degree and taught school for the next 22 years. She and Bob retired in Georgetown in 1993.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many positions. She and Bob served a year in the Denver Temple, before moving to Idaho. While living here, they served two years in the Logan Temple and two years as the Bishop's Storehouse managers.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents and step mother (Audra), three brothers (Roy, an infant, Frank and Laren), six sisters (Melba, an infant, Arlene, Martha, Fern, Naomi and Polly). She is survived by Donna Cunningham, Edward Whitmore, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday November 28th, 2015 at 12:00pm in the Georgetown LDS Church. Interment in the Georgetown Cemetery.
