Gary Carver - Class of 1967

Gary Carver, 69, of Montpelier, passed away on September 20th in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. 

Gary was born in Soda Springs, Idaho, to Mary Parker Carver and Elwin Eugene Carver on August 1, 1949. 

He served 41 years as a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad. Gary was passionate about golf and loved being outdoors. He loved music and watching movies with his family. He will be remembered most for his willingness to share his experiences and knowledge with everyone he met.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, his older sister AnnaLee, and older brother Bruce. 

Gary is survived by his wife Kathy Carver, his children Guy Carver, Cari Carver Erickson, Jena Carver, Amanda Carver, and Jesse Carver; his siblings Roger Carver and Connie Williamson; his 11 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters; his cat Shadow; and his numerous golf buddies. 

A celebration of the life of Gary Carver will be held on September 27th, at 4 pm at The Montpelier Golf Course, 210 Boise St. Montpelier, ID. 

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the golf course in Gary and Kathy’s name for a memorial.
