Evan Alleman - Class of 1963

Evan Raymond Alleman, 72, passed away from cancer, on June 28, 2018 at Ogden Regional Hospital. Evan was born September 15, 1945 in Montpelier, Idaho the son of Shirley Lindsay and Edgar Peter Alleman.

Evan married LaVonne Davis on Sept 12, 1968 in the Oakland Temple. He served 3 missions, Texas, Ohio and Indiana, for the LDS Church; two with his wife. He enjoyed serving in the Ogden Temple.

He graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree and taught shop for 37 years at Central Davis Jr. High.

Evan enjoyed hunting, woodworking and people. He was a tough cowboy who was excellent with his hands, “a jack-of-all- trades”. He was very service oriented and helped others whenever and wherever he could. He always took care of the “Little Things.” His wisdom was often needed, while his quick wit and sense of humor brought joy and a smile to others.

He is survived by his wife LaVonne; daughter Lydia (Corwin) Paxton; son Hyrum (Sarah) Alleman; 6 grandchildren Dathyn, Ellyson, Gavyn Paxton and Cheyenne, Drager (Thompson) and Vladimir Alleman; his sister Charlene Bradley and 2 brothers Farrell (Sheryl) Alleman and Arlen (Jean) Alleman. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Marvin.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Lorin Farr 3rd Ward, 1608 East 1300 South in Ogden. A viewing will be held on Friday July 6th at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9:40 to 10:40 a.m. Interment will take place in Bennington, Idaho.
