Served 4 years in USAF in France, BA 1957, MA 1958, Ph.d U of Minnesota, Acted: Cleveland Playhouse, Ashland Shakespeare Festival, Dallas Theatre Center, Minnesota Centennial Showboat, Punchinello Players, Pardoe Theatre BYU, Taught: U of Minnesota, Chico State College, CA, Dallas Theatre Centre/Baylor U, Sacramento State College, CA, Brigham Young University 30 years Directed many plays, musicals, and operas at various venues. Retired in 1995. Convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 23 September 1956. Loved teaching gospel doctrine, youth, and children. Served as Elder's quorum president, 70's president, high priest group leader, home teacher, Stake high council, Family History Consultant, advocate couple for single adults in magnet ward. Barbara and I served a mission in Mexico City, Mexico. We love visiting our ten children, 33 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sites where ancestors lived, sites in United States, many foreign countries. I am blessed with good health and do love writing family history almost every day. Hooray for ancestors and descendants and high school friends.

When I was in first or second grade at Washington Grade School. We were sometimes chased by older students. I remember once running down a bank into a culvert that ran under Main Street, I think I remember my father coming to school when I was in the first grade. I wrote left handed and Mrs. Weaver tried to get me to write right-handed. She didn't want me to smear my beautiful letters. Dad said something like, "God made Charles right-handed so just leave him that way." I remember being with scout when street light were broken out and decided I didn't want to be a scout. I remember the thrill of singing in the Christmas Cantata with Mr. Baker. I loved playing cars in the dirt with Rednil Reiber and Jay Perkins. I loved double-dating with Ross Armatage and others. High School was GREAT!!!
